Welcome to Monday’s Tips & Tricks!
Every other week, I’d like to share with you a tip or trick that I’ve learned that has improved my life in some way.
If you’re like me, you regularly do battle with your kids to clean their rooms. I find myself yelling, “At the very least, pick up your floor!”
One trick I learned was to install hooks along my son’s bedroom wall. He has a ton of hoodies and it’s easy for him to hang them on the hook, along with his baseball caps and even backpacks. It’s made both of our lives a little more manageable.
What trick can you share to help keep kids’ rooms clean?
I grew my kids up and sent them off into the world. No more messy rooms in my house! 🙂
Seriously, I used hoods too. I liked the 3M sticky hooks as I could put up a lot of them, and there were no holes in the walls.
I also found that my son needed to have all his stuff visible, or he forgot what he owned. We put narrow shelves (10 – 12″ deep) around his room so things wouldn’t be lost behind other junk, or lost in drawers. His clothes were folded on shelves as well. He’s grown now, but still uses that system.
3M sticky hooks and shelves are great ideas! Thanks for sharing, Bobbi.
