To be read if I suddenly disappear with millions of others

Dear family & friends,

Years ago, I read the Left Behind book series and found it fascinating. I had no idea of what to expect in the last days until reading these books. Keep in mind, of course, they are fictional but they are based on prophecies in the Bible. If you’re looking for a book that may help you understand what’s happening and about to happen, this series will serve you well.

I am writing this letter in November 2024 to help explain what’s happened to me in the event that I am gone along with many other Christians you may know.

I invite you to study the Bible, specifically the book of Daniel in the Old Testament and the book of Revelation in the New Testament. But they are not easy reads and may cause confusion.

I’ll try to give a synopsis of what’s happening:

The Rapture

Read 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 and 1 Corinthians 15:52

This is the reason I am gone. I’ve been swept up into heaven with all my fellow believers.

The Tribulation

Read Daniel 7:24–25, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15–22, Revelation 6:1–8, Revelation 13:1–8 Revelation 16:16, and Revelation 19:11–21

After the Rapture, you can expect a seven-year period that’ll start with a peace deal signed by a world leader (the Bible calls him the Antichrist). Don’t be taken in by this leader because, although he will promise peace, he’ll break that promise and make rules to force people to worship him. If you’ve given your heart to Jesus (which is my prayer) be prepared for serious trouble.

You can also expect worldwide chaos. This is obvious given that millions of people were raptured while driving, flying planes, etc. There will also be wars and food shortages. When I disappear, you should promptly take a trip to the grocery store to stock up on food.

Throughout the tribulation don’t be surprised by plagues and disasters like hailstorms, rivers turning to blood, and darkness. It’s a good idea to stock up on batteries and water while at the grocery store too.

As horrible as these catastrophic events will be, they’re intended for you as a wake-up call — God wants you to recognize His sovereignty and turn to Him.

But, unfortunately a lot of people will still reject God and there will be an epic war (the Bible calls it the Battle of Armageddon). This will be the ultimate fight between good and evil.

According to the Book of Revelation, I’ll be returning with Jesus to fight in this battle and I pray you’ll be on the side of good with me.

Second Coming

Read Revelation 19:11–16 and Zechariah 14:4

If you make it through the tribulation, you can look forward to Jesus reigning on earth for 1,000 years in perfect peace. The Bible calls this the Millennium and there will be no war, sickness or corruption.

But it doesn’t end there. The Book of Revelation explains that Satan will be released briefly, trying one last rebellion, and is ultimately defeated and cast into the lake of fire forever.

God will then review each person’s life and judge them according to their deeds. Those who trusted in Jesus will live with Him forever but those who rejected Him will face eternal separation.

Finally, God will create a New Heaven and New Earth where believers will live in His presence forever. This is likely what you’ve heard about what Heaven will be like. It’ll be a place of no sadness, pain, or death.

If you’re reading this before the Rapture happens, it may sound a little wacky and weird. You may even think I’ve lost it to believe these things written in the Bible.

BUT if you’re reading this after the Rapture and you’re rethinking everything I’ve ever said about God and Jesus, then this may help you plan for the tribulation and the Second Coming.

In either case, I will continue to pray for your salvation. I’d much rather you be raptured with me than have to endure the horror of what’ll happen after.
